I absolutely hate sleeping

I really dislike sleeping. I end up staying awake until I can’t keep my eyes open, usually falling asleep between 5-6 AM and waking up around 11 or 12 PM. I think my sleep issues might be linked to anxiety and possibly OCD. I’ve been exercising every day this month, but the lack of proper sleep is really affecting my health, and it’s making my health anxiety even worse. I just can’t seem to sleep at a normal time, and it’s really frustrating.

I hate how there’s so little time in a day for anything besides essentials, which is why I end up staying up until 3 AM. It feels like there’s no time to relax or enjoy.

Sleep feels like a waste of time, taking up a third of our lives, and you’re unconscious for most of it. It’s 5 AM here, and I’m so tired I feel sick.

@Caius
I totally get you. I can’t function on low sleep, but I also hate the process of sleeping.

I’m envious of people who are okay with just 4-6 hours of sleep. It’s so frustrating.

@Caius
Exactly! People don’t understand how tough it is, they think I’m just being dramatic.

@Caius
I understand. I went to bed at 4:20 AM last night and woke up at 6 AM. We’re just on a different schedule than most people.

That’s rough. Did you manage to get any more sleep? I’m having one of my worst nights, my body aches from the lack of sleep.

@Caius
No, I haven’t slept since. It’s almost 1 AM now.

I hope you get some rest soon, especially after last night.

I’m the same. One way to adjust your sleep schedule is by staying awake for a full day and then going to bed early the next night. Try to stay active during the day to avoid naps and drink coffee in the morning so you’ll be exhausted by nighttime.

@Hollis
I’ve tried that before, but I still end up sleeping past midnight. It feels like there’s no solution, but I’m determined to change this.

I’m in the same boat, feeling hopeless and depressed. If you want to talk, let me know.

@Quincy
Sure, send me a message.

I feel the same. No matter how tired I am, I can’t seem to go to bed early.

@Logan
It’s always ‘stay up all day so you can sleep early,’ but it never works for me either.

I was also a major insomniac. Things improved when I quit smoking, stopped eating late, and reduced drinking. I made a strict schedule, started drinking chamomile tea with a bit of melatonin, and increased my physical activity.

@Pax
I don’t smoke or drink much, but anxiety seems to be the main issue for me. I think I need to work on it mentally.

Sounds like anxiety or possibly depression. Have you considered talking to a therapist?

@Logan
I’m starting to think about seeing a therapist. I really want to improve my situation.
