I sleep 5.30 to 6.0 hours daily. I am 17yo

Due to studies, I am sleeping 5.30 to 6.00 hours daily. In what ways can this affect me?

Not the best. It’s not ideal, and your reaction levels, energy levels, social skills, thinking power, weight lifting, athleticism, etc., will not be at their potential. 8-9 hours at your age is the best. Make sure you work out often, get sunshine, wake up and sleep at the same time, avoid caffeine, limit media before bed, and drink plenty of water during the day. These simple steps helped me out so much.

Not bad.

In growth, mood, gut health, memory, etc.

You are still growing and need more sleep. The brain is fully developed at 25, I think.

Yeah, but because of studies (I have an exam next month), I can’t sleep as I have to complete my portion.

@Griff
What are you studying at 17 that won’t let you sleep more than 5-6 hours?

I am from India; we have a joint entrance exam (JEE), one of the hardest exams.

8-9 hours recommended for your age.

Bro is cooked :ghost:

5.3…that’s very specific.

Actually, I try to sleep for 6 hours, but sometimes I wake up before the alarm or it takes some time to fall asleep.

Maybe they meant 5 hours and 30 minutes?

Green tea before bed and meditate every morning and night if you work on those days.
