I am 34F, and I started wearing an Apple Watch, and I found out I sleep on average a bit over 9 hours a day. Is that normal, or is it too much?
I’d rather sleep your 9 hours than my 5 hours.

You are delusional; it’s much better to sleep shorter. You have much more time during the day.

And much less energy. And joy. And feeling alive in general.
@Kellen
Hah, no. When I tend to oversleep, I feel more tired. Healthy is sleeping around 8 hours, more or less.

Yeah, oversleeping isn’t good, but 9 hours is exponentially better than 5 hours in my mind.

Confidently incorrect.
Totally normal. People don’t really sleep 8 hours on the dot.
8:59 hours per day is fine, but you’re living dangerously with your 9.
Completely normal.
Perfectly normal. 7-8 hours per night is a scam; everyone has different sleep needs, and typically women need more than men. I would say more than 10 hours per night is worth tracking to see how much deep sleep you’re getting.
Everyone has different sleep needs. My husband can function on 6 hours while I need 10 to not feel tired when I wake up. You’re completely normal!
30M here. If I get anything over 7 hours, I’m happy, but I average about 6 hours 47 minutes.

That’s a lot!
Yep, and maybe more.
35M here, and I sleep 10 hours a day most days, and I’m fine.
I’m 26 and I sleep 8, but 9 sounds amazing.
Absolutely!
Not only normal but fortunate as well.
Normal. 7-8 hours is only the majority of people. There are outliers with everything because we’re human.
