32M here. Got married at 28 and was doing well in all departments, but a few years in, my sex drive just started to drop. At first, I thought it was work stress or maybe just a regular post-marriage slowdown. But when I started experiencing ED, I got pretty worried – I mean, I’m only 32! So I went to get checked out, and it turns out my testosterone was low, though everything else seemed fine. The doc asked about my sleep, and I told him I struggle to relax at night.
Long story short, I’m now seeing a therapist for anxiety and have made some small but steady changes to improve my sleep – and I’m happy to say that my situation has improved! After doing a lot of research, I came up with a few easy habits that helped calm my mind and boost my sleep quality.
edit: Here’s what I did:
Started lifting weights 3x a week. I worked out before but never consistently.
An hour before bed, I do a “brain dump” by listing everything I need to remember or do the next day. This keeps my mind from racing while in bed.
Keeping my room as cool as possible at night – I set the AC to around 64F, use a fan, and even invested in a cooling weighted blanket and mattress topper.
Glad to hear you’re doing better! Low T is a tough one, and I think social media makes it even more common these days. Did your low libido affect your marriage?

Thanks! My wife was really supportive, thankfully. It wasn’t easy, but we worked through it, and now we’re stronger for it.

How did your wife handle things when you weren’t feeling up to it?
She was amazing and super understanding. She even encouraged me to exercise regularly. It was a bit of a cycle – poor sleep made exercise hard, and lack of exercise made sleep worse. But once sleep improved, it all got easier.
Thanks for sharing this! ED and male health issues are rarely talked about, and they’re so linked to mental health. Also, a big yes to the cold bedroom tip!

Yeah, more of us should talk about it. I even brought it up with friends, and turns out it’s not as rare as we think. Sleep affects so much in our lives, more than we realize.
