I seldom call in sick but started feeling unwell on Monday at work with symptoms like stingy and tired eyes, a stuffy nose, sore stomach, and sore throat. I took Tuesday off but still don’t feel any better. My shift starts early at 5:30 am and lasts until 12:30 pm, and I feel particularly bad in the morning, struggling to stay awake. Should I call in sick again tomorrow or just push through? Some people think it’s just a cold and I should get on with it.
Call in sick, otherwise all your coworkers will be sick for Christmas, and nobody wants that.

If you’re sick, you’re sick.
If you are sick, stay home and recover. There’s no point in forcing yourself to work when you’re not well, which might affect your performance and risk spreading the illness to others.
Is it really necessary to debate whether to call in sick on this forum?

It’s surprising to see what kinds of posts get removed and what stays up.
You have sick leave for a reason, use it. Taking time to heal properly prevents more serious complications. Your coworkers will also appreciate not getting sick during the holidays.
Definitely stay home if you have a sore throat.
@Noor
What exactly is paid sick time?
Definitely stay home. Rest and prevent the spread of your illness to your coworkers and their families.
It’s better for everyone at your workplace if you don’t go. Why risk spreading the illness?
