Struggling with getting more than 6 hours of sleep each night

Lately, I’m only managing to sleep around 6 hours per night, and it’s not restful sleep either, as I hardly ever dream. This lack of deep sleep is starting to negatively affect my health, specifically causing my testosterone levels to drop. I’ve noticed that even a small amount of alcohol, like a single beer, triggers this insomnia and the effects can last for weeks. Could this be related to a vitamin deficiency? I’m currently taking magnesium glycinate daily.

I’ve found that magnesium glycinate doesn’t really help me either, and I’ve stopped using it. Do you find it hard to fall back asleep after waking up during the night?

Occasionally, I wake up around 3:30 AM and struggle to fall back asleep. Sometimes, my heart rate is elevated when I wake up, as if I had been running. While this is becoming less frequent, my main concern remains the inability to extend my sleep beyond 6 hours or to fall asleep again after waking.

I’d honestly love to get six hours of sleep myself.

I meant that getting even six hours of sleep would be a dream for me; I usually get less.

@Amar
I understand, but personally, I need at least 7-8 hours to function well.

I’m in the same boat. I need at least that much sleep too, but it’s just not happening for me right now.
