I’ve been experiencing sleep issues since mid-December where I fall asleep around 9-10 PM but wake up 2 hours later and can’t fall back asleep until around 7-8 AM. This pattern results in me sleeping through most of the day, from 8 AM to 2 PM. I wake up feeling anxious because I can’t go back to sleep at night. Previously, I had trouble falling asleep, taking 3-4 hours, but recently I’ve been able to fall asleep within 10 minutes using a technique that works for me. However, my current problem seems related but different. I’ve managed stress better and don’t think it’s the main issue here. I’m generally healthy, avoid caffeine and alcohol, and have tried melatonin and magnesium before without much difference. I’m looking for any advice that could help shift my sleep schedule back to a more normal pattern of 9 PM to 6 AM.
Magnesium oil has been a game changer for me! I had a similar issue, but since using magnesium oil, my sleep schedule has dramatically improved. I’m now enjoying some of the best sleep ever.

Which brand do you use?
@Perry
It’s from a boutique soap shop. The type of bottle is important too; mine is glass. I apply it by rubbing it on the soles of my feet and up my legs before bedtime.

Do you use the oil after waking up at night or just before the first sleep?
@Quinlan
I apply it before I go to sleep. It’s a topical oil, not ingestible. Just a few pumps massaged into my feet and legs.
Your sleep cycle seems disrupted. Consider techniques to reset your circadian rhythm to avoid daytime sleepiness.

That makes sense. Do you have specific techniques for resetting it?
It’s great you’re aware of your habits. Using a sleep tracking app like OptiSelf Sleep could help you organize and evaluate what’s effective.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll give OptiSelf Sleep a try.
Gabapentin at a low dose worked wonders for my similar sleep issues. Just be cautious about potential dependence.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m hesitant about potential side effects, but I’ll consider it if my situation doesn’t improve.
