What do you listen to or watch to fall asleep?

I have always had trouble sleeping. I recently started listening to astrophysics or science videos (makes my brain confused & tired) which helps to fall asleep faster. Wondering what other things people fall asleep to.

I listen to ‘Nothing Much Happens’ or ‘The Sleepy Bookshelf’ podcasts. Both have soothing narrators. ‘Nothing Much Happens’ has stories where not much happens, just enough to keep your mind from wandering. ‘The Sleepy Bookshelf’ involves classic novels read out with recaps at each episode start, so you can catch up if you fall asleep halfway.

@Ash
I love ‘Nothing Much Happens’, it’s really soothing.

I listen to guided meditations and sleep music from Jason Stephenson and Michael Sealey on YouTube.

Michael Sealey is my favorite for sleep, his voice is so relaxing!

I use ‘Oblivion’ from mynoise.net. It’s very calming.

It really is a nice site.

I listen to old ‘Cold Case Files’ episodes. Bill Kurtis’ voice is surprisingly calming.

Sometimes I listen to public radio at a low volume or a metronome with a polyrhythm that I like.

What station do you listen to?

It’s a news station, mostly politics. I just let it play in the background to distract my mind.

I listen to sleep podcasts like ‘Sleep With Me’, ‘Sleepy’, ‘Boring Books for Bedtime’, and ‘Sleep and Sorcery’. I play about 8-9 hours of episodes each night, along with an eye mask and a sound machine to help me drift off.

I fall asleep to true crime podcasts.

I watch ‘Midnight Gospel’ on Netflix or listen to specific YouTube videos. I also enjoy rain sounds and different colored noise, like brown or green noise, to help my mind relax.

Brown noise is great, lower frequency than white noise. I haven’t tried green noise yet but might now.

I usually watch ASMR videos to help me fall asleep.

I listen to the Huberman Lab Podcast to fall asleep.

I just watch random YouTube videos until I fall asleep.

I go to r/frasier_sleepers; it’s perfect for drifting off.
