I have anxiety and deal with insomnia because I can’t seem to relax at night.
I’ve already tried lifestyle changes like eating healthy, having a bedtime routine, and avoiding devices before bed. I’ve also experimented with relaxing teas and essential oils.
Now, I’m considering medications or gummies, but I don’t want to get addicted or have to keep switching because of tolerance. I also want to avoid disrupting my natural sleep cycle and hormones. I just want to reduce stress and get some sleep, even if it means waking up groggy since I’m not a morning person anyway.
You could try CBD & CBN gummies, lemon balm tincture, valerian root, Rhodiola rosea, or herbal teas. These are natural options to help with relaxation and sleep.

I’ve tried many natural remedies except CBD. Do you think it’s worth it?
@Finn
The psychoactive risk is minimal unless there’s a family history of certain mental health issues. CBD alone didn’t work for me, but combining it with CBN has been great for relaxation without any unwanted effects.

Thanks for sharing! I’m not at risk for mental health issues but am cautious about addiction. Do you buy it over the counter or is it prescribed?
I buy it from a regulated store since THC products are legal here. It’s been safe for me, and I’ve had no issues with addiction or behavior changes. Maybe try it occasionally to see how you feel.

I rely on white noise and earplugs to sleep.
Noise tends to keep me up, but I might try earplugs. Do you ever miss your alarms with them?
My husband uses earplugs and relies on his smartwatch’s vibrating alarm. For sleep, I’d also recommend exercises like breathing and cardio during the day—they’ve helped my anxiety and sleep a lot.
I use an acupressure mat for 20 minutes before bed, and it helps me fall asleep. If that doesn’t work, I rely on trazodone. I’ve been on a low dose for over a decade, and it’s great for staying asleep without building a tolerance.
Hydroxyzine worked for me when my insomnia wasn’t as bad. Now, I’m focusing on CBT and mindfulness to heal my anxiety and sleep better. I’m tired of relying on temporary fixes. Hope you find something that works for you!
Low-dose trazodone has been effective for me. I stopped using CBD because I had to keep increasing the dose. Trazodone is much better for long-term use.
