Uhhh… maybe rephrase that?

When I read that, I thought no way… maybe three times, tops, but 50?

Haha, yep, same here!

Did five once, but that was with someone helping out. Totally different situation.

So, jokes aside…sounds like you’re having what’s called a hypnic jerk. I got them when I had severe anxiety attacks. Feels like your body’s in high stress. Has anything been bothering you lately?

Same thing here… it’s really rough. I didn’t feel stressed at the time, but my body sure did. Went to the doctor, and they gave me meds that got me back on track.

@Hayden
I know what you mean, wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Thankfully, meds helped me, and now I feel closer to my old self. This stress stuff can linger a long time.

Glad you’re feeling better!

What kind of meds worked for you? I’m dealing with this right now, and it’s the worst.

@Niko
Alprazolam (basically Xanax). Try talking to a doctor about it; it really helped me calm down.

I’ve asked my doctor, but they won’t prescribe it since they say it’s ‘addictive.’ They keep trying to put me on antidepressants instead.

@Niko
Antidepressants don’t do much for this kind of stress. I can share a list of supplements that I’ve found helpful over time if you’d like to try something different.

Yes, please! Any suggestions would help.

@Niko
Sure thing! Here’s what I take: Chelated Magnesium, Ashwagandha, Chamomile, GABA, Tryptophan, Valerian Root, and Melatonin. GABA, Valerian Root, and Tryptophan seem most helpful, so maybe start with those if you’re on a budget.

@Clay
I already tried a few of these separately, but maybe I’ll try them all together. Valerian root actually keeps me awake, though.

@Clay
Be careful with Ashwagandha—it can sometimes lead to feeling ‘flat’ or emotionless.

I’m going through this now… it’s the worst. Only thing that stops it is a sleep med the doctors won’t give me anymore because they say it’s too ‘addictive.’ Now I’m searching for anything else that helps. Antidepressants don’t really do much.

Only been dealing with this for months, and it’s awful. Can’t imagine years of it. Which meds helped you?

Trying to sleep but can’t … edging?

Wow, you really set yourself up with that title!

Right? I thought 14 was the record. Then I saw 50!

There’s no way you wrote that title without knowing it’d get attention.
