I’m in my early 40s and have no trouble falling asleep. I go to bed early and at the same time every night, with a quiet and comfortable environment. I don’t consume coffee, energy drinks, or alcohol. Still, I can’t seem to sleep for more than 6 hours. Over the past year, my average sleep time is about 6 hours and 5 minutes, and it has been consistent for years since I started tracking. I’ve recently started working out 4-5 times a week and eating well, but it hasn’t made any difference. I don’t feel particularly tired during the day, but I really wish I could sleep longer. Any advice?
Do you wake up naturally or do you use an alarm?

I wake up naturally. I haven’t used an alarm in years unless it’s for an early flight or something special.

If you’re waking up without an alarm and feel fine during the day, it sounds like your body only needs around 6 hours. Not everyone requires 8 hours to function well.

Six hours might be pretty standard for your age. If you’re not feeling tired or having daytime issues, that might just be your body’s ideal amount. Not everyone’s wired for 8 hours—some need less and still thrive.
Why settle for 6 hours when 8 might be better?
Try L-Theanine, Remeron (half of a 7.5mg pill), or Apigenin. Could make a difference for you.
