I can’t sleep. Help

I literally can’t sleep I’ve tried everything melatonin, zopiclone, promethezine the over counter sleep medication stuff, I’ve tried no screen time, sleep podcasts like I’m so tired of this shit.
Plss does anyone have anything else I can try or do or something

Try identifying the root cause first – understanding why you can’t sleep will guide the best action.

I think my sleep cycle is just really bad at the moment and I can’t wind down at night my brain feels too active. Just thinking lots of things and I just don’t feel tired
Il have a further think, thank you for the advice

@Harlow
It sounds like your mind is definitely in overdrive at night! When your brain is busy thinking about everything, it’s much harder to wind down because it keeps you alert and makes it tough to feel truly tired. Here are a few things that might help calm your mind before bed:

Set Aside “Worry Time” - Try scheduling a few minutes earlier in the evening to write down your thoughts or worries. This way, you can process them earlier and let your mind rest when it’s actually time to sleep.

Relaxing Routine - Creating a relaxing pre-sleep routine signals to your brain that it’s time to wind down. Reading a book, doing a few deep breathing exercises, or listening to calming music can all help shift your mind from “active” to “relaxed.”

Mindfulness and Meditation - Practicing mindfulness or simple meditation exercises can help clear your thoughts and make you more aware of your breath and body, rather than all the thoughts racing through your head.

Avoid Screens and Stimulants - The blue light from screens can keep your brain active, and caffeine or heavy meals close to bedtime can make relaxation more challenging.

Clearing your mind of thoughts before bed takes practice, but it can really make a difference. By making it a habit to mentally “unplug” at night, your body and mind will learn to recognize that it’s time to rest.

I did they just prescribed me 6mg of melatonin to take but it’s not even working, the first 2 days it did and now I’m back to square one

@Harlow
Then call the doctor again and tell them its not working. Some times you have to try a few things. I go to a sleep doctor.

you’re gross

You’ve got anxiety about how you’ll feel about not sleeping. You need to tackle the anxiety.

Creatine won’t help you sleep but it could help with brain fatigue. I only sleep 4 hours a night and don’t feel as bad bc of creatine

Can you share more details? You can’t fall asleep? You wake up too early? You wake up multiple times throughout the night? Do you only have trouble sleeping at night and then dose off in the afternoon in front of the TV?
