Try cutting out the THC. That and excersize basically fixed my sleep problems. You probably won’t sleep much/well the first few nights, but after 3-4 days, your body will adjust to not having it.

will give it a try. What about using THC during the day, does that impact sleep?
One is stick with that 5 am wake time, then use drowsiness as you guide for bedtime. Avoid spending too much time in bed though, otherwise you may find you’re awakening earlier and earlier as a result.
Second is to stick with the later alarm, and just accept rest in bed as OK. In that case you might try a little bit later bedtime, to see if the earlier awakening issue resolves.
Hey OP! Magnesium is great for getting to sleep, but THC has been said that it’s not good for sleep patterns. Have you tried doing some exercising after dinner to tire yourself out, and then taking a nice hot bath before trying to go to bed? Also, no caffeine after 3PM typically.
@Frost
Yeah, maybe I should try cutting out the THC then. I do exercise a few days a week in the evenings and take a shower. I stop consuming caffeine by 1pm each day.

I have to warn you that cutting out THC after taking it for sleep for a while will hinder your ability to fall asleep in the first little while (coming from personal experience), but it’ll get better. Chamomile and chrysanthemum tea with a little bit of honey before bed is good. If you’re taking magnesium, take vitamin D with it. It’ll help your body utilize the magnesium better.

good to know! What are your thoughts on melatonin
I would personally consult a physician regarding because I took melatonin before consulting mine and was told that it messes with your body clock and you may develop a dependency on it. While your body naturally produces melatonin, if you supplement it, it could cause daytime drowsiness. If you take it short-term, there should be no issues, but like most medication/supplements, if you don’t need it, don’t take it.
@Frost
One more thing, you mentioned taking vitamin D and magnesium together. I normally take my vitamin D in the AM but are you saying to take them together before bed instead?

I personally take them together before bed as instructed by my physician. He mentioned that the two combined would help the magnesium work and absorbed into my body better.
