I find that scrolling on my phone first thing in the morning helps me wake up, but I’m looking for healthier alternatives. It currently takes me about 30 minutes of phone time before I feel ready to start my day. Does anyone have any suggestions for other ways to wake up more naturally?
Have you tried using natural light to help wake you up? I’ve found that opening my curtains first thing in the morning makes a big difference.

Thanks for the suggestion! I keep my curtains open, but the blinds are usually down. Maybe fully exposing my room to outside light could help.
I’ve replaced my morning scroll with meditation, and recently I added a daylight lamp to my routine to combat the dark winter mornings. It’s been really effective for me.

That sounds interesting! How do you keep from falling asleep during meditation, especially right after waking up?

I start by turning on the lights and sitting up in bed, which prevents me from falling back asleep. The meditation focuses on deep breathing, which helps wake me up. I also do a similar session before bed to establish a routine.
