Why did Magnesium Glycinate keep me awake all night?

It was just one night; it’s probably the placebo effect. I experienced that the first night too. I take fish oil, zinc, and magnesium when I can, and in the long run, it should be the right choice.

It’s the glycine, not placebo.

Try it for a while and see if it keeps happening. Your body might adjust to it. How were you the next day?

Alcohol and coffee can cause that effect too. Remember to consider everything you consumed that day.

I definitely don’t think it relates to the magnesium at all.

Oh man, I had the wildest dreams when I took that. Crazy bright vivid dreams. I slept, but I didn’t feel rested after all those intense dreams.

I did have a strange dream, but I always have weird dreams!

Magnesium messes up my sleep. I wake up after five hours, feeling restless and active-minded, yet exhausted. I can’t fall back asleep. I’ve tried threonate, citrate, oxide. Glycine disrupts me too, but I haven’t tried magnesium glycinate.
